Framing has begun at an EEA-designed house with fantastic views of Tellico Lake. The curved room jutting out farthest in the image below will be a breakfast room with panoramic lake views and ample morning sunlight.
The house is projected to achieve a HERS score of 50, meaning it will be 50% more energy efficient than if it were built only to current code requirements. Below is a sill plate ready to be installed, complete with termite shield and sill gasket (which will reduce air infiltration and increase efficiency).
