241st Engineering and Installation Squadron – Communications Training Complex

Location: Hamilton County, Tennessee
Client: Tennessee Air National Guard
Completion: The building is currently scheduled to be completed in June 2011.

Elizabeth Eason Architecture is serving as LEED Consultant on the 241st Engineering and Installation Squadron’s new communications training complex. The $8-million facility will provide engineering, administrative, and training space for the 241st.
The goal, set by the National Guard and executive order, is for the new facility to meet the United States Green Building Council's designation of Silver within their LEED rating system. By incorporating sustainable design strategies into this project, we anticipate a 30% savings in energy, 55% reduction in water usage, and 50% of construction waste diverted from the landfill.
